Ibrahim graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1988 and holds a B. Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering.
Shortly thereafter, he returned to the UAE and joined Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO). For the 15 years to follow, he held various positions within the Drilling Division before joining AlMansoori as Business Development Manager in 2004. Later, he spent two years as Manager of North Africa based in Tripoli, Libya, before returning to Abu Dhabi to serve as Chief Operating Officer.
In his current role as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Ibrahim travels the globe ensuring the company mission is executed and values upheld. Meeting with the clients of AlMansoori, and gaining valuable feedback to ensure customer satisfaction is paramount. Ibrahim also drives the collaboration with AlMansoori’s partners and evaluates potential partners whose values are in line with the company’s values. Creating strong supplier relationships is critical to the success of the organization, and Ibrahim is a huge proponent of working toward long term sustainability which results in wins for both parties.
As for his pet project, Ibrahim dedicates a large portion of his time to the Milestone Recognition Program (MRP). This is a safety-centric program which rewards teams within Almansoori for adopting a perpetual pursuit of safety in the working environment. Every year that Almansoori provides a client with a service, during which one year passes without incident, a celebration is held with the client and the service team involved to recognize this accomplishment of one year with no LTI’s.
Ibrahim off duty-pursuits include running, snowboarding, skiing, scuba diving–and generally anything else that attracts those who are not faint of heart.
